      Why shouldn't students cross picket lines (on principle) I'm a grad student and I'm looking for different perspectives on this. I work in a university lab and have crossed a picket line to do lab work on strike days during this academic year.   The union mobilized, and hundreds of members from other workplaces and students from a nearby university converged on the picket line.
